Ever since I can remember, I have always been extremely active. Always out playing outside with the boys, whether it be flag football or softball, on the swim team, and then on to captain of my field hockey team in high school and then on the dance team in college. After graduating from college, I realized I missed that intense physical routine and I joined my local gym. It started out innocently enough, two or three times a week, but I realized, the more I went, and the more I pushed myself, the more I liked it. I truly enjoyed seeing the amazing changes in my tone and endurance.

I now work out five days a week and on three of those days I go twice a day. I start my work out with lifting, focusing my attention on different muscle groups each day. After weight training for about twenty or thirty minutes I move onto at least thirty minutes of pure and intense cardio. Sometimes I will incorporate something else fun during the day, like yoga, pilates, or even belly dancing. On Saturdays, I’m usually doing something active. I love mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, hiking, or even just a long walk with my dog!
My diet is based on smart decisions and choices. I do not follow a strict regimen with this, but instead I allow my body to tell me what it needs. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as chicken and fish. I avoid sodas and anything else that is wasted sugar.
I believe vitamins and supplements are helpful in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I take a multi-vitamin every day in addition to MSM and Glucosamine Sulfate to protect my knees and joints.
Incorporating fitness into my life has made such an amazing impact to me. I am a much happier and stronger person because of it!
